Structural Pruning
Commonly used in young trees and often used on older trees with structural problems. Young trees are trained or pruned to promote good structure, the amount of material removed of a mature tree varies depending on size, age and species. Often renovating the canopy of a mature tree to maintain and promote health is considered a long term operation.
Crown Cleaning
Is the removal of dead, broken, diseased and weakly attached branches.
CROwn thining
Is the selective removal of branches to increase light penetration through the crown, to maintain and increase interior growth and to improve structure.
Crown Restoration
Restoration is commonly used to improve tree structure and form, it consists of the selective removal of some watersprouts and stubs often made by poor pruning practices. Restoration usually requires several prunings over a number of years.
Tree Support Systems
Provides a tree with supplemental support by limiting the movement of limbs, tree support systems may extend the life of the tree or reduce the risk of mechanical failure.
Cabliing and bracing
Cable installed in trees limit the movement of limbs with weak branch connections, it also supports heavy limbs by connecting two or more limbs. Bracing is the use of a steel rod in limbs, leaders and trunks to provide support for a junction.
propping
Propping is the installation of rigid structures between the branch or the trunk to provide support, tree trunks carved to suit the contour of the branch is my choice when propping is required.
